Fast-fashion giant Shein has rolled out its Xcelerator initiative in the UK, France, and China, defying criticism from European fashion stakeholders. The program, designed to bolster emerging designers through access to Shein's global supply chain and customer base, launched formally on September 16, 2025, following a pilot with 20 brands in 2023.

European opponents warn the MOVE could destabilize local markets by amplifying Shein's competitive edge. The Singapore-based retailer, already dominant in trend-driven apparel, plans further international expansion for the Xcelerator, recently partnering with French label Pimkie to demonstrate its capacity for scaling brands globally.
